The AGES dashboard COVID-19 provides the public with current figures on the development of COVID-19 in Austria.
On Mathematical Aspects of COVID-19 Modeling - EpiMath Austria
The motivation for this site is mainly to provide a little more insight into some of the standard mathematical and epidemiological methods used in modeling COVID-19, in a way that is accessible to a lay (but interested) audience. The methods described here are well known in the respective scientific communities. The team present an analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic in Austria using two standard approaches of mathematical epidemiology: an SEIR compartmental model and a method for so-called "R-Nowcasting" – estimating the effective reproduction number of the disease.
TEAM:
- Group "SEIR": Manu Eder, Joachim Hermisson, Michal Hledik, Christiane Hütter, Eugenia Iofinova, Rahul Pisupati, Jitka Polechova (Department of Epidemiology | Medical University Vienna & Faculty for Mathematics | University of Vienna), Gemma Puixeu, Srdjan Sarikas, Benjamin Wölfl, Claudia Zimmermann (Department of Epidemiology | Medical University Vienna).
- Group "Nowcasting": Mathias Beiglböck, Paulina Cebula, Anne Grass, Manu Eder, Joachim Hermisson, Eugenia Iofinova, Kory Johnson, Jitka Polechova, Rafael Reisenhofer, Daniel Toneian, Benjamin Wölfl.:
